Mario Quarti

The son of the designer and skilled craftsman Eugenio Quarti, Mario was born in 1901, and upon the death of his father in 1929, he inherited the company. Mario Quarti would transform his fathers’ studio and adapted the workshop, which allowed them to expand and accept more commissioned projects. Throughout the late 1940’s – 1950’s, Mario Quarti often collaborated with Paolo Buffa and Angelo Marelli to produce intricately detailed pieces. Quarti’s partnership with Buffa helped to improve the workshops techniques and design methods, allowing them to produce better quality furniture.
